Phillip Island, a great family adventure

Phillip Island is located in Victoria, the smallest state of Australia. This amazing island is only 1h30 from Melbourne capital city of Victoria. A trip to do! No excuse not to spend at least 2 days there.
You will be able to discover awesome animals in the wild (the famous little penguins), beaches to learn how to surf and true aussie villages.
In a nutshell, it's one of Australia's destinations not to miss! Its proximity to the great metropolis of Melbourne, will make this trip ideal for weekend or short holidays.

What to say about Phillip Island?

This island is easily discoverable by bike (if you are an average cyclist). However, if you are in a hurry, just rent a car. Get more information about car rentals before you leave.
The major activities are really nature focused (landscapes, fauna, flora). We strongly suggest that you head towards the penguins parade where you will see the smallest species of penguins in the world. Even if it's a bit chilly and windy at night it's worth it. You will be ecstatic.
However, if you are not a big fan of mother nature, you could also visit the mythical Phillip Island race track, where each year the Australian motorcycle Grand Prix takes place. Aussies are pretty good in Moto GP; in 2007, the Australian born Casey Stoner became world champion! He's walking on Mick Doohan's footsteps, 5 times world champion and also Australian.

How to get to Phillip Island?

From Melbourne, take the princess Highway...1:30h later, you will be on the island. It's as easy as this
