Airfares Australia

Useful advices

  • Select your dates carefully according to the seasons and the location you want to go to. I.E. don't visit the Great Barrier Reef in summer (November till April) as you will have lots of jelly fish on the reef.
  • Study the Australian geography and the localisation of airports (I.E: Melbourne's second airport for domestic traffic is in Avalon; it's an hour away from the city).
  • Be careful when you book your hotel. Indeed, take into consideration that there's a time difference. Australia is 8 to 10 hours ahead compared to Western Europe for example. Don't book the wrong day.
  • Hotel standards are very different from other countries. Usually rooms are bigger compared to European standards. You also generally have tea, coffee and a kettle provided in the room. (except hostels)
  • Reserve your internal flights before you leave, if you plan in advance, you will have really cheap airfares.
  • To immigrate to Australia, select a company which allows you to take heaps of luggage. The limit is around 23 to 32 kilos in economic classes. (depending on the companies)
  • Important: Once you booked your ticket, ask for an ETA. It is mandatory that you have a visa before you arrive in Australia. To know more about this, go to our visa section.
  • Never take last minute flights; they will be far more expensive.
  • Return flights are generally less expensive than taking 2 one way tickets.
  • Don't forget those seasons are inverted: summer in Europe = winter in Australia.
  • Prices are cheaper in winter (low season).
